Week twenty four began with much welcomed cooler weather which supplied incredible motivation and energy. The sluggishness that the heat tends to impose, particularly on pregnant women, vanished overnight and for the first time in months we were able to turn the air conditioning off and open the windows to air out the house.
The days of my twenty fourth week began with cool, almost brisk, breezes making my customary hot breakfast of three eggs and sausage (in the form of an omelet by adding sautéed potato, onion, and red pepper to the mix), and hot latte particularly appealing and actually quite delightful. After taking my vitamins and drinking a good bit of water, I got my exercising done around noon, giving me the rest of the day to work on projects around the house or run errands.
In my twenty fourth week I finally broke out my maternity jeans (some of the chillier days necessitated wearing pants) and sweaters. I absolutely look pregnant now which is exciting but I am also having a harder time bending down to pick things up off of the ground (soon I will not be able to bend down at all). Our baby girl is a little dancer inside my uterus; whenever I sit or lay down to rest she begins her dance routine. I am ecstatic that she is so active, it tells me that she is growing and getting ready for her debut.
The aches and pains I was experience in my hips and pelvis are gone (without seeing a chiropractor), which makes week twenty four even better. It seems that all I needed was some good relaxed stretching followed by my regular workout routine to fix the problem. What a relief!
I am just hoping that this amazing fall like weather continues into week twenty five; only time will tell!
