Sun Chips will send you a free bag if you are among the first 100,000 to sign up on Facebook. This is not a printable, you give them your information and they will send you the coupon. They are following the success of the Stacey’s Chips giveaway, and the ongoing success of Nabisco cookies.
Respect the Panini! Become a fan of Corner Bakery Cafe and receive a coupon in the mail for a free breakfast Panini or $3 off your meal at any Corner Bakery Cafe.
Starburst and Skittles want to give away some of their candy with Buy One Get One Free coupons. Become a fan of Skittles, and get a coupon. Then become a fan of Starburst and get a coupon.
The first 100,000 fans to sign up for Vitamin Water’s fan site on Facebook will receive a coupon for a free bottle.
These appear to be promotions that are going well. Advertisers are learning to limit the number of coupons, and when a free item is involved they usually mail the coupon rather than have you print it. This means that you have a limited time to sign up for the offer, and you won’t be disappointed like the fiasco earlier with free pieces of Kentucky Fried Chicken that was not on Facebook. Incredible Edible Egg had a promotion on Facebook for a free dozen eggs a few weeks ago. As you can imagine, they were swamped. They had to shut it down within a day.
