For most people losing weight is a challenge, a good challenge. For most of us it takes a lot of effort for those pounds to roll off. The main reason that so many of us fail at losing weight is due to inconsistency. We cannot maintain our willpower long enough to see any kind of significant results. When we do not see the pounds coming off we then become discouraged and fall off of the wagon, so to speak. In order to lose one pound of weight we have to decrease our caloric intake and increase our exercise burning capacity by 3500 calories. This usually takes a few days. Losing two pounds a week, therefore, is excellent yet for most of us this is just too darn slow to keep us motivated.
What then should we do if we are one of those “impatient” individuals? Well, we need something to keep us motivated and what better way to do this, but to have a friend to do it with. Losing weight with someone else is a great support. You are both striving for the same goals, yet not necessarily the same amount. Not to worry, that is not important. What is important is that you are both trying to lose weight and get in shape.
At www.peertrainer.com you can find the support that you need with not just one, but several online buddies. Joining a group of people that are striving for the same results that you are is very uplifting and encouraging. There is always someone to share your downfalls with, someone to report to and satisfy accountability, and someone to help you over the hurdles of your weight loss journey.
I have met some wonderful people on this board and unfortunately, our group fell apart, but I am going to join up myself again to help me lose the extra weight and finally end up at goal. Hopefully, this will happen before summer, but some things just need a little bit of extra time. Find the support that you need and try joining an online group such as this one. I think that you will be glad that you did.
