Weight Loss and Bouncing Your Way to Good Health

My Journey

Jogging or exercising on a mini trampoline empowers many benefits to your body. A fun way to exercise and lose weight and inches, the minutes will fly by without even batting an eyelash. This relatively new exercise is called rebounding and is becoming more and more popular. Rebounding or jogging on a trampoline is a great form of exercise for everyone alike that will help you to shed pounds. It employs the laws of gravity and unlike jogging on hard surfaces; it is easy on the joints and thereby decreases stress, especially of the knees and ankles. Jogging on a mini trampoline can be done anywhere, indoors or outdoors. When weather is inclement you can bring your mini trampoline indoors and jog in front of the television if you so desire. My favorite thing to do is to wear my mp3 player and jog around to my favorite music. After about six or seven songs I find that 30 minutes has passed. I try to rebound a couple of times a week. When I really do not feel like a structured routine, I just jump on my mini trampoline and bounce around until I get tired. It does not even feel like exercise, but rather a form of relaxation instead. Rebounding for the average person will burn about 280 calories when done for 30 minutes. Rebounders should start slowly at about 5 minutes a few times a day and then work up to the 30-minute mark. I pushed myself a little bit harder than I probably should have because I like to see faster results when I am attempting to lose weight and I get impatient and lose interest otherwise.

Benefits of Bouncing

Below is a list of rebounding health benefits:

• Increased blood flow to the circulatory system.
• Increased oxygen circulation to the tissues of the body.
• An increase in breathing capacity.
• Toning of the glands especially the thyroid gland, which will increase optimal functioning capabilities.
• Regulation of the blood pressure.
• Increased coordination in body movements.
• An increased production of red blood cells.
• A decrease in muscular pain.
• A decrease in depression.
• Lowered triglycerides and cholesterol.
• An increase in elimination and digestion functions.
• Relaxed muscles thereby promoting sleep.
• Sharper memory skills.
• Less colds, flus, and/or sickness in general.

Bounce your way to good health and get rebounding!
