Weight Loss: I Am a Cappuccino Addict

There is one place that I absolutely cannot cut out of my dieting plan. This famous coffee shop has the most exquisite French Vanilla Cappuccinos. Their coffee is excellent also. It started last year. I discovered that they made the all-time best, to die for, hands down, number one, icy, cold cappuccinos. You have to have whipped cream on the top to make it complete. I drank a few of those a week until I realized I just had to cut them down to once a week. I would give up nutritional food to have that drink and it was not good thing to do. I was good though. I counted them in my daily intake. Shortly thereafter, they came out with a new cappuccino-type drink. It had what appeared to be crushed brownies on top. I did not get too addicted to that. I think that it was too chocolatey for my taste buds. Thank goodness, it was just okay to me. I still preferred the one that tasted more like coffee.

I do not know when it happened or why it happened. I suddenly gave up those icy, cold cappuccinos and switched to a new love for French Vanilla Cappuccinos. It could have had something to do with our lake effect, snowy weather. This addiction kicked in right about the time of our first snowfall. These warm, yummy drinks are about 240 calories, but again, I am counting them in. I admit, I am worse off with this particular addiction then I ever was with the iced cappuccinos. I think it is slowly dying down now though. Winter is almost over, another month or so, and this well-known coffee shop has the best coffee ever. I can never foresee giving that up and it has 0 calories so no harm in that way.

If you just have to have one of those icy, cold cappuccinos, do not fret, just add it in to your daily caloric totals. You can request that it be made with milk and a small size totals only 150 calories. Those delicious iced brownie drinks, small size made with milk measure up at meager 240 calories, and the French Vanilla cappuccinos, medium sized are only 250 calories.

Now, I would not make this a daily habit, but certainly one of any of those drinks a week could not hurt too much. When dieting, I believe that you do have to treat yourself occasionally, within reason, to avoid a total melt down and loss of dieting sanity. Do not be afraid to occasionally step outside of the box, just for a bit, but then remember to get right back on your journey towards a healthier and slimmer you.
