Tonight, we celebrate the end of 2006 and look forward to the New Year, 2007. For as long as I can remember, the birth of a new year has meant a birth of hope and a birth of new ideas. We can put away our bad feelings and embrace our good ones. We can let go of the past and stride forward to a new future. Not every year that is born gives us such a great bounty and sometimes, we find ourselves tossed off course before the year is even out of it’s cradle.
I’m excited about 2007. 2006 came in with a bang for us and it was a year of struggle and difficulty. We endured marital issues and financial ones. There were health problems, including a life saving surgery that my husband needed at the end of the year. My daughter began Kindergarten and we both started new projects that helped us to overcome some of the financial problems.
Looking Ahead to 2007
I have my own personal goals and resolutions for 2007. Among those goals are to continue fine-tuning my fitness program. To lose a minimum of 20 pounds and to find an agent to get a book sold. Yes, have I ever mentioned that I am an author? Other goals I have include doing my best to bring you the information you need to meet your goals – whether it’s through interviews, reviews or just details on different types of programs. We will take advantage of the New Year to revisit our Spring Forward to Action fitness program that we launched last year and we’re also going to offer contests and prizes and much, much more.
I have been thinking about these resolutions and these goals since the beginning of December. I have already begun writing up my resolution plans – how I can meet these goals and for many of them, I jumped the gun and began implementing them.
You’ve seen some of those changes already here in the fitness blog and you’ll see more as we move into the New Year. As we welcome the arrival of the New Year, I bid you warm wishes and a very happy New Year. I wish for you all the dreams you have and all the goals you wish to achieve. If you need help, I will do my best to get you the very best information you need, when you need it.
Happy New Year – too all of you and a most prosperous and bountiful one do I wish you.
