I am Laura Torres, and my primary focus will be crafts, activities and parties. I have so much to share with you. Here’s how I justify my existence as a blogger on this site: I am the author of two dozen or so craft and activity books for kids and teens from Klutz Press, American Girl, Disney and Workman, and I write craft articles regularly for FamilyFun magazine and other publications. I used to be the lifestyle editor at American Girl magazine, which was my favorite job ever. If your daughter has a boa-framed corkboard or princess drape over her bed, I might be to blame! I’ve also worked as an editor of activity, craft and non-fiction books for kids, most recently at Klutz Press. You can read more and see my books at lauratorres.com.
Also, I create craft-based birthday party kits, based on tried-and-true activities I’ve done with groups of kids at different events around the country, so I can probably help you plan a successful party for your kids or family. The fact that I have six children (two of my own and four step-kids) has also given me plenty of hands-on party-throwing.
I will be posting fresh ideas daily. I love what I do and I love to share it all. I’d also love for you to share your ideas and ask questions.
