Wellness Conference Offers Opportunities

Prudential, the insurance conglomerate announced a three-city series of conferences for women. The conferences are titled Stepping Out: A Day of Finance, Fitness and Fashion. The first conference is scheduled to be held in the Chicago area on April 28 and the full-day program will focus on a series of workshops on health, lifestyle and financial subjects that are of specific interest to women.

Physical health, financial health and overall well being are critical to women and it’s important for them to learn about the different ways they can take care of themselves. Building new techniques and programs requires a tools and techniques that build confidence. That is the ultimate goal of the conference series.

Prudential and the Chicago Foundation sponsor the Stepping Out conference for Women. The foundation is a non-profit that focuses on the three principles of a woman’s rights:

  • Economic Self-Sufficiency
  • Freedom from Violence
  • Access to Health Services and Information>/li>

The goal of the conference is to raise awareness for women on specific issues and topics that are important to women. Fitness is comprised of an overall sense of well being, when provided with the tools for a healthy existence physically, emotionally and financially – women are empowered to live better, stronger and longer lives.

About Heather Long

Heather Long is 35 years old and currently lives in Wylie, Texas. She has been a freelance writer for six years. Her husband and she met while working together at America Online over ten years ago. They have a beautiful daughter who just turned five years old. She is learning to read and preparing for kindergarten in the fall. Her current favorites are the treadmill (she walks up to 90 minutes daily) and doing yoga for stretching. She also performs strength training two to three times a week. Her goals include performing in a marathon such as the Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness or Team in Training for Lymphoma research.
