What Can I Do With Leftover Wallpaper?

Good question! And, I have some good answers. You won’t even think about throwing away leftover wallpaper when you learn all the great things you can do with it.

In a room with subtle decor, the perfect option is covering photo frames in the same wallpaper as the walls. They will blend right in. Or, use the wallpaper as matting inside your picture frames. On the other hand, you can pick up where you left off, and go right over the ceiling instead of just papering the walls.

Do you have dreary closets or a dark hallway? Why not use leftover wallpaper to lighten and brighten them?

Wallpaper can also help you create inexpensive yet attractive storage boxes. Any old cardboard box will do as long as it’s sturdy. Wrap the outside of the box and line the inside, and you have a cute storage basket. If you can find boxes with lids, that’s even better!

How about lining shelves or drawers? Now, when you open your cabinets or drawers, the insides will coordinate with the rest of your kitchen. Try this in other spaces besides the kitchen as well, such as the bathroom or the linen closet.

If your wallpaper is vinyl or another washable material, you can even make matching placemats. Simply cut to shape, fold the edges over, crease, and glue into place. If you prefer something more decorative, add some trim or ribbon to the edges.

Use wallpaper to cover a plain memo board to make it coordinate with the rest of the room, or make a one of a kind window treatment. Adhere the wallpaper to the lower half of the window to create privacy, and leave the top portion uncovered to allow natural light inside.

You will be pleasantly surprised by what you can do with a little leftover wallpaper and a little imagination!
