24 whole cloves
1 (5 inch) stick of cinnamon
¾ cup heavy cream, whipped and sweetened
Add spices to the coffee and boil for 5 minutes. Strain. Add sugar and chill. Serve in glasses filled with crushed ice and top with whipped cream, dusted with powdered cinnamon. You can add fresh cinnamon sticks to the glasses for visual appeal if you’d like.
Frosted Coffee
6 cups cold, strained coffee
¾ pint vanilla ice cream
Serve this delicious treat on a tray with the coffee in a pitcher, glasses and a shaker, and ice cream in a bowl. To serve it, put two heaping teaspoons of ice cream into the shaker and add a cup of coffee. Shake until the cream is dissolved, pour and serve. Each guest should be served separately with this drink, because the consistency is not the same if you try to make a large batch.
