I can’t believe that we are just two short months away from my baby being a year old. 10 months have flown by. While I can’t say I’ve enjoyed every single second, I sure do love my little baby. I have been enjoying him reaching milestones, and I can’t wait to see what is to come.
With his recent discovery that he likes sippy cups with straws, we have had plenty of meal times that get rather messy for me, but fun for him. He loves to drink water from a straw, but as soon as he is done, he quickly is playing with that straw, dumping the water on his tray, and splashing in it. Discovering the games he can make out of simple things in his environment are one of the simple joys of being a baby.
Talking to my little guy is fun. It almost seems like we are having conversations some days. He babbles, I respond. He smiles, and watches as I say something back. He loves it, and so do I. He loves to be a part of what is going on, and one way he does that is by talking to me.
He still has no teeth. I’m hoping that they are coming soon because until he gets some that he can actually chew food with, it feels our options are still a little limited. But, we are trying new things all the time, and hoping that his appetite, and his food choices will just continue to grow.
He is still on the move with his army crawl, but no “real” crawling yet. I’m not sure if he will just skip that all together and move right on to walking, because he doesn’t seem too bothered by the fact that he crawls on his tummy. He is standing up all the time, but still not cruising. That is fine by me. I know once he starts cruising, then the real fun begins.
His personality is just infectious. He smiles all the time, wants to play and wrestle, and laughs like crazy when we do something silly. He still loves animals, and loves for you to point things out to him in his surroundings.
Having a 10 month old is a blast. They really are enjoying and soaking up the world around them every single day, and it is a joy to watch them do it.
