What to Believe?

If you believe British tabloids actress Kate Hudson is preparing to walk down the aisle with actor boyfriend Owen Wilson—very soon.

According to Britain’s News Of The World newspaper, the couple is engaged and will be getting married before the end of the year. Sources tell the paper that the diamond sparkler Hudson was seen wearing on her wedding ring finger three days ago was a gift from Wilson.

Hudson was photographed outside a Boston restaurant Thursday night flashing a huge rock on her left hand, sparking rumors that she and Wilson are preparing to make their union legal.

The couple met in 2006 on the set of “You, Me & Dupree.” Months later the pair was spotted canoodling in public. Shortly after that Hudson split from her husband of six years, rocker Chris Robinson. However, in June 2007 Hudson and Wilson reportedly parted ways and just two months later the actor was involved in what police deemed an “attempted suicide.” Wilson’s breakdown only fueled rumors that an alleged drug problem caused the split between him and Hudson.

In the months following Wilson’s “incident” the actor spent time bonding with his male friends (namely Woody Harrelson) in sunny locales from Maui to Miami. But in recent months Wilson and Hudson have been spotted together in various cities cuddling, holding hands and riding bikes with Hudson’s 4-year-old son. The couple was also spotted together on Easter and last month paps snapped the two on a lunch date with Wilson’s parents celebrating Hudson’s 29th birthday.

Reps for the actors had not confirmed the engagement reports, though if the rumors prove to be true I certainly don’t think it would come as a surprise to anyone.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Lohan is back in the headlines again trying to convince the world that we should believe her and not the numerous media outlets that have been reporting that she just got axed from an upcoming biopic of murderer Charles Manson.

According to Lohan she didn’t get the boot, rather she turned down the role.

Ohhh!

Various reports published last week claimed the 21-year-old was 86ed from the independent flick “Manson Girls” because producers feared she had returned to her pre-rehab party girl ways. The part would have been Lohan’s first big screen role since 2007’s “I Know Who Killed Me.”

However, today a representative for Lohan issued a statement denying that the drama queen had been dropped from the film. The statement claims Lohan was too busy with other projects to commit to “Manson Girls.”

Hmmm… Who (or what) to believe?
