Did any of you techies out there get any neat technology related gifts this holiday season?
I didn’t get that many tech related products. One thing I did receive for Christmas was the new Nike + shoes and the device that you put in the shoes, and attach to your iPod Nano to make it work. I am super excited about this one for several reasons.
1. One of my best friends is moving away at the end of the week across the country. We work out together a lot, and now that she’s moving away I was worried about losing my “Workout Buddy” with the shoes we can challenge each other to races, and track how much each other is working out, even though we’re far away from each other. Without the shoes I imagine I would have probably worked out a little, but claimed to have worked out a lot. Now, she can prove me wrong.
2. I’m a dork. For a long time I tried denying this fact, but truth is I love dorky things and I’m going to put my iPod shoes in this category. In order to use the iPod shoes, I’m going to have to work out. There is absolutely no way to play with them without getting off my bum and out into the world. Motivation is one thing, but there’s no better motivation for me than getting to play with a new toy.
I also bought myself for Christmas a wireless mouse for my laptop and a Wi-Fi modem to replace my old one that broke right before the holiday. This year I almost felt like a kid again with anticipation for my gifts. Christmas morning I was out running with my new shoes, even though it was raining outside. My mother brought up that it was raining and I yelled out in typical 2 year old fashion, “No Mom I want to plaaaaaaaaay with them!”
What toys did you get this Christmas?
