What’s a Disorganized Person To Do? By Stacey Platt
I think this book was written for me! Stacey Platt is a professional organizer who has an organizing and coaching company based in Ney York called DwellWell. She has worked with people from all walks of life and knows what she is talking about . Her book will help you organize everything in a relatively short period of time.
It is divided into very short little chapters, most are only a page long but the tips and hints are huge. Stacey will help you reduce junk mail, organize the fridge, get rid of desktop clutter and even tell you how to organize the files on your computer. The hints go from the obvious, like organizing your files, to the little things that are often overlooked, like how to manage your medication.
The hints are short and to the point without a lot of fluff, she tells you exactly what you need to do and moves on. Because of the way the book is organized you can quickly find what you are looking for without wading through pages of information. The book comes with stickers so you can mark the things you want to do first, or even things for another month. There is a list of resources in the back as well if you need more help getting organized.
Stacey doesn’t assume you know how to do what she tells you so there are lots of pictures to help. There are illustrations to show you how to fold a fitted sheet, a Tshirt and a sweater. The tips she gives are not majorly time consuming, you could implement something new to your house in under fifteen minutes. Of course if you have a little more time there are organizing projects that will take an hour or two.
This is a wonderful book to help get your house under control, even if you only use a quarter of the ideas she gives you your home will run noticeably smoother.
