What’s Happening at Disneyland, California?

Disneyland Resort like Disney World has begun their “The Year of a Million Dreams” celebration. Both Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure have transformed in mystical and magical holiday wonderlands. There are amazing decorations, favorite attractions and festive foods not to mention some fantastic entertainment to enjoy this holiday season.

The Disney Dream Squad is roaming the resorts and parks with the goal to make dreams, both large and small, come true for guests. These dreams are not limited to what money can buy, for example there are:

  • FASTPASS attraction tickets to round-the-world vacations
  • Stays in the Mickey Mouse Penthouse at the Disneyland Hotel
  • Opportunities for guests to meet and play with the Disney Princesses
  • Chances to duel with Jedi Knights
  • Opportunities to play a part in the High School Musical Pep Rally

In addition to all of these fabulous treats, as if they were not enough, there will also be extended park hours at both parks so that visitors can make the most of their opportunities to go to Disneyland and Disney’s California adventure as well as Downtown Disney.

When you enter Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland, you will find the traditional Christmas tree in the center of the Town Square. There are over 10,000 ornaments and holiday lights decorating the 60-foot tall tree. There is a Holiday souvenir that comes to life in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle featuring a Snow Globe with a snowman’s holiday dream of putting on a pair of his very own mouse ears. The snow globe will debut on December 1 and will remain there until Christmas.

Head over to Frontierland and you’ll find a Reindeer Round-Up going on at the Big Thunder Ranch. It’s been redecorated as a West Pole getaway for Santa and Mrs. Claus. You’ll see the A Christmas Fantasy annual parade that begins this Friday on November 17 and continues through January 7. There are a lot of traditional yuletide and holiday scenes featuring Disney characters and even toy soldiers marching in cadence as snowmen dance and Santa waves.

If that’s not enough for you, check out the Haunted Mansion Holiday that will show you the well-meaning Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas doing his best to transform the haunted mansion into his vision of holiday fun and with a quick stroll over to Fantasyland, you’ll find the It’s a Small World has been rechristened for It’s a Small World Holliday including Christmas favorites from around the world.

Are you ready to head to Disneyland? I know I am!
