It’s been about a week since Helio Castroneves and Julianne Hough walked away with the tackiest trophy in primetime TV. And it didn’t tale long for the newly crowned “Dancing with the Stars” champs to become fodder for the tabloids. (Thanks in large part to Castroneves’ ex-fiancée.)
Now, as the hype surrounding their fancy footwork (both on and off the dance floor) dies down, news about the golden couple is becoming less salacious. In fact, it’s becoming down right boring, unless you live in Indianapolis, Nashville, or Greensboro, North Carolina. If you are a resident of any of the aforementioned cities and you are a Helio and Julianne fan then hold on to your dance shoes… you will soon have the chance to see the dynamic duo rumba in person.
According to TV Guide, the season five champs, who were not originally slated to join the 37-city “Dancing with the Stars” tour, will in fact be two stepping during the tour for about a week’s worth of dates. The specific dates haven’t been released, but TV Guide says the flexible couple will likely join the tour in Indianapolis on January 18th, Nashville on January 19th, and Greensboro, North Carolina on January 26th.
According to Hough, “Helio saw that everybody wanted to do the tour and didn’t want to be left out.” Hough added that she is currently recording a country music album and her schedule precluded her from committing to the entire two-month tour.
The tour officially kicks off on December 18th in Seattle. That’s where you’ll get to see Marie Osmond, Sabrina Bryan, Wayne Newton, Drew Lachey, Joey Lawrence and Monique Coleman shimming and shaking with their pro partners.
Okay, I lied. I do have a bit of salacious news regarding Julianne Hough.
It appears the 32-year-old actor is now having second thoughts about hooking up with the 19-year-old dance pro.
Connolly recently reached out to magazine reporters to put to rest rumors of romance with Hough.
“I don’t want to bore you, but really, we are just friends,” Connolly told PEOPLE magazine. “We’ve gone out to dinner a few times, we’ve gone to a Halloween party, but I don’t even know her.”
He explains, “You meet people, you like them, you go out to dinner…People see you at dinner, they take pictures, and things get misconstrued.”
Yeah, right!
It was well documented that Connolly bought Hough an 18-karat white gold ring with diamonds. And that was AFTER he told Howard Stern radio that he was “actively pursuing” Hough.
Hey Kevin, you don’t know me either… but F.Y.I.–I like white gold.
