That would be me, Cathy Ipcizade. I used to write for the Baby Blog and currently also write for the Food Blog. Now, I’m happy to be part of the Parenting Blog. I wanted to introduce myself and let you know a little bit about who I am.
I am the proud mother to two rambunctious little monkeys. My son is five-and-a-half and my daughter is two-and-a-half. Life is never boring, often crazy, and full of fun and chaos. We reside in Southern California where the sun always shines and we never quite make it to the beach enough, though we surely intend to! We live 15 minutes from Disneyland but you’d be surprised at how rarely we go. So there you have it—all Californians, though well intentioned, do not have bronze tans or walk around with Mickey Mouse ears all day long. Okay, maybe sometimes. J
I’m looking forward to sharing my research with you, my memories, my daily affirmations, and sometimes struggles. Life with children is fast paced and wonderful. It’s also frightening, guilt-ridden, and downright difficult sometimes. But the truth is, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
My children are the joys of my life. Every day I can make them smile is a successful day for me. Parenting isn’t the cakewalk I envisioned. No ma’am. It’s a learn-as-you-go, fly by the seat of your pants sort of gig, and truth be told, I’m learning more every day. Sometimes I make the right choices, sometimes not. But by golly I try, just as you do.
