Why You Should Take a Honeymoon

There are many couples that have taken luxurious long honeymoons to exotic islands and other destinations of the world. They had no doubts that their honeymoon must be to a far off wonderful place. They never imagined it any different.

Then there are those couples that never had a honeymoon. For some reason or another they were cheated out. It may have been that the extra money simply was not there. It also could have been that the time off from work just simply could not happen. These couples may have taken a day or two off from work (including their wedding day) then lives were back to normal.

I do not find that a long, expensive honeymoon on a cruise ship or to a far away island is necessary. However, I do think that a honeymoon is important. A honeymoon allows a newlywed couple to have time together as husband and wife before the world has a chance to interfere.

Many couples that do not take a honeymoon vow that they will take one later. Yet that later usually never comes. Busy lives and children soon take over and there is simply no time for the couple.

For this reason, I think that couples should make it a priority to at least have a few days together. The location nor the expense are important.

If necessary, look for small things to cut from the wedding to save extra money. Also check with family or friends for anyone who may have a lake house or vacation home that could serve as your get away.

If work is your problem, think of planning your wedding around off days so you can have the time without asking for any leave from work.

If nothing else, turn off your television and unplug your phone. Place a sign on your door that says no visitors are allowed. Enjoy each other and take a break from the chaos of the world.
