Charlie Sheen has tied the knot yet again.
The star of “Two and a Half Men” walked down the aisle for the third time last night, according to his rep.
The 42-year-old actor wed fiancée Brooke Mueller, a real estate investor, who he has been dating for more than a year. The couple got engaged in Costa Rica last June, after Sheen presented the 30-year-old blonde with a $500,000 custom-designed 11-carat yellow diamond and platinum ring.
Mueller may have gotten the bling and the Reem Acra wedding gown she wanted, but it doesn’t sound as though she got the wedding she always dreamed of.
According to PEOPLE magazine, Mueller “really wanted to walk down the aisle in a big way with hundreds of people looking on, but Charlie insisted they keep the wedding simple and small.”
And you know the saying, whatever the groom wants the groom gets, especially if he is Charlie Sheen. Just ask Charlie’s ex, Denise Richards.
So instead of the elaborate shindig Mueller wanted the couple reportedly exchanged vows in front of about 60 close friends and family, including “Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart, who first introduced the couple in 2006.
Also, in lieu of wedding gifts, the newlyweds asked guests to donate to the Chrysalis: Changing Lives Through Jobs charity and to Pugs ‘N Pals, a dog rescue charity.
Though it’s still not clear if that was Sheen’s idea, Mueller’s, or a joint decision. But I suppose when you have been married as many times as Charlie has you run out of things to register for.
A few weeks ago Sheen revealed to reporters that he and Mueller were eager to start a family.
The actor is already dad to three daughters: 4-year-old Sam and 2-year-old Lola, with Richards, and Cassandra, 23, with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt.
I wish the newlyweds the best, but with Sheen’s track record of short marriages–his first to model Donna Peele in 1995 lasted six months, while his union to Richards lasted four years—-I would say that Mueller has a tough road ahead. Let’s just hope that if she does give birth before Sheen dumps her that their custody battle is not as nasty as his last one.
