Is troubled star Owen Wilson starting to recover? He made his first public appearance since his scary suicide attempt on August 26th. He attended the LA premiere of his new film The Darjeeling Limited along with co-stars Adrien Brody, Anjelica Huston, and Jason Schwartzman. The Darjeeling Limited is already in theatres across the country. The LA premiere was held at the headquarters of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Also in attendance at the premiere was one of Wilson’s biggest fans, the movie’s director Wes Anderson. Anderson, before the premiere, said of Wilson, who also worked with him on Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and the Royal Tenenbaums, that “I’ve never made a movie without him and I hope I never have to.”
Let’s hope Owen is back on the road to recovery.
In other news, Danny Bonaduce won’t be charged for face planting “Survivor” star Jonny Fairplay at the recent Fox Reality Channel’s Really Awards. In case you missed it, Fairplay was there to give out an award. After he walked on stage, some in the audience started booing. Bonaduce walked out and told him they were booing because they hated him. Bonaduce seemed to give him a buddy pat on the chest as he went to leave the stage. Fairplay called Bonaduce back and leaped on him with his pelvis in Bonaduce’s chest. Bonaduce just flicked him over his head and Fairplay hit the floor face first with a thud. He got up and immediately left the stage. He said he lost one tooth and three others were shifted. He has undergone three root canals and pressed battery charges against Bonaduce. But, the district attorney’s office has ruled that there is insufficient evidence that Bonaduce committed battery because Fairplay initiated the contact and acted offensively.
Fairplay as said it was a hug, something that has become his signature move. I saw the video (and you can see it on youtube.com). It was a bit offensive, but I don’t think it quite warranted Danny flipping him over his head like that. But everyone knows Bonaduce is volatile – please! Guess Jonny may think before he makes his signature move again!
