Win a Free Reunion With A Long Lost Relative

airplane Has your genealogy research led you to the discovery of a long, lost, relative that you never knew of the existence of? Wouldn’t it be wonderful to get the chance to meet that person, face to face? Perhaps you have been unable to schedule a family reunion with the long, lost, relative, due to cost. If so, then you may want to enter a contest that could win you a free family reunion.

One of the most exciting things that can happen as a result of a person’s genealogy research is the discovery of relatives or ancestors that you had absolutely no knowledge of. It’s one thing to find find the birth certificate of the youngest child of ancestors from several generations ago. It’s quite another to find a long, lost, relative that you could, potentially, meet with face to face.

Planning a family reunion is not usually a simple task, even if the plan is to meet with just one person. You have to make sure your schedules coordinate. Someone is going to have to pay for the cost of traveling to the location where the other relative is at. If your long, lost relative lives really far away from where you are, the cost of travel may be much more than you can afford.

Right now, there is a contest that could help you to have a family reunion with your long, lost, relative. MyHeritage.com and Family Tree Magazine have teamed up to create a contest where you could win a free family reunion. There are also other interesting prizes to be won.

In order to enter the contest, you need to write a few sentences about your discovery of a long, lost, relative and what that has meant to you. Next, you either need to post those sentences on the MyHeritage.com Facebook wall or onto the Family Tree Magazine Facebook wall. That is all you need to do in order to enter this contest.

There will be a total of three lucky winners. Each will receive an all expense paid round trip economy class flight ticket that can be used for one person to be able to meet with their long, lost, relative, (assuming your relative also lives in the United States). If your relative lives outside of the United States, then the prize will be an international return flight for the relative, a two night stay at a selected hotel, and $300.00 for personal expenses. Winners will be chosen randomly, and the reunion must take place sometime in the Summer of 2011.

There are other prizes that the winners will receive as well. Each will get a year long VIP subscription membership to Family Tree Magazine. Winners also get a three year long Premium Plus subscription with MyHeritage.com. You must enter this contest before June 15, 2011.
