Wog for Your Life

I started jogging now and again about 6 months ago. I first used the DVD, “Walk Away the Pounds, Walk and Jog” by Leslie Sansone. I then would mix it up a bit using a mini trampoline, which is a whole lot easier to jog on. Sometimes I would just turn on the radio and jog away. Sometimes I even jogged on the treadmill, but I did not like all of the noise that I made while I was doing it. I even ran around my background with my niece. We did it at night so the neighbors would not think that I was a little “off”.

My sister has been asking me to join a reasonably priced health club that is open 24 hours a day. Well, since there are not enough hours in the day I was considering it. However, “reasonably priced” ended up having some additional fees that were not explained to us at first. Still, the price was good, but not good enough for this struggling mama. I also wondered, “When do I sleep?” Knowing that you do not have to spend money to get fit I texted my sister and asked her to go “wogging” with me. She asked if wogging was like a really fast walk. I told her that wogging is a combination between a walk and a jog. I have been wanting to have someone to go with and just could not get anyone motivated.

She told me at first that it was going to rain. Excuses. So what, I thought. I let it go and then texted her again. I said, “Go wogging with me Saturday morning.” She texted me back, “You are on.” I then texted, “Wear your sports bra and bring aspirin just in case we have chest pain.” She was a little down and with that she wrote back, “Lol, there are tears coming out of my eyes!” I felt happy that my sister was smiling again. I had found a new wogging partner and we start on Saturday. I am psyched.
