WONDER WOMAN FINDS DEAD BODY
Lynda Carter (a.k.a. TV’s “Wonder Woman”) couldn’t save the day this time.
The actress, who became a household name back in the 1970s, says she was shocked when she discovered a body this week on the Potomac River in Washington, but that didn’t stop her from trying to help.
According to the Washington Post, Carter was cruising the river in her boat when she saw a body floating in the water. Carter tells the newspaper that she didn’t have a cellphone with her, so she flagged down some fishermen and asked them to call police. Once rescue crews arrived Carter says she directed them to the body, but it was too late.
According police, the body was that of 47-year-old Washington woman, who most likely drowned long before Carter arrived on the scene, though authorities were quick to point out that the medical examiner’s office has not declared an official cause of death.
As for Carter she says she “did what anybody would have done” in a similar situation.
Though, you have to wonder if Wonder Woman will remember to bring a cellphone with her the next time she sails solo?
“DANCING” STAR FINDS NEW GROOVE
While millions of online chatters still doubt the authenticity of his injury “Dancing with the Stars” third-place finisher Cristian de la Fuente is pressing on with his promotional duties.
The hunky actor underwent surgery two weeks ago on the bicep tendon he tore while performing on the show, and now he says he is on the mend and ready to get his groove on… in a sling.
De la Fuente appeared at Disneyland this week with his “Dancing with the Stars” pro partner Cheryl Burke wearing an elaborate medical contraption on his injured arm.
The 33-year-old actor said the brace took a while to get used to, but he has since learned how to move “without taking anyone out with it.”
De la Fuente says the repair went perfectly and he should be able to bust a move in a few weeks. In the meantime, the mambo king is making the rounds promoting his new USA Network show, In Plain Sight, on which he appears as the boyfriend of Mary McCormack.
