Your Emotions At Two Months Pregnant

If you are pregnant, you are probably well aware that pregnancy can feel a lot different, emotionally, than what you are accustomed to. Even during early pregnancy, your baby’s impact on your body is not easy to see yet their impact on your emotions is hard to ignore. Here are a few of the things that you may be feeling during the second month of your pregnancy.

Have you noticed that things that would not normally bother you drive you crazy now? It is perfectly normal to be more sensitive and even more irritable than you usually are. The hormonal changes of pregnancy, along with the physical demands on your body are the forces at work behind how you are feeling. While you will not be able to avoid every annoyance, notice what seems to set you off and see whether there is anything that you can do to avoid it or reduce its effects on you.

As often as you may feel upset over seemingly little things, there will also be times when you may feel upset for no reason at all. This is also a normal part of being pregnant and, admittedly, a very frustrating one. Take comfort in knowing that it will eventually pass.

A third thing that you may be feeling right about now is needy. Many women report that their self esteem suffers when they are feeling tired or overwhelmed and ask others for help. This is normal, too, and the feelings may be more intense the more of an independent person you usually are. I was very stubborn about doing things for myself, and when I had to ask for help with things when I was pregnant I felt silly. I also felt upset for myself for not being able to keep up with work, housework, and everything else. It was as if I expected my pregnancy to have no effect on my ability to get things done. An expectation which you may realize by now is more than a little unrealistic.
