Each of us is different. The jobs we have chosen, where we live, who we are friends with, all say something about our personality. These character traits also define how we approach money.
Managing money is easier for some than others. As a necessity though, we all do need to learn to best manage our money to be financially successful and plan for a stable future. Luckily, there are many different approaches to money and hopefully you can find one that works best for you.
The key component to a successful money management system is to find a process that fits your personality. Take a moment today to self analyze. What kind of person are you? What do you do for work? What to you do for pleasure?
Certainly some of us are numbers people who are highly detailed in our lifestyle. Someone like that would enjoy tackling a money system head on with budgets and spreadsheets. Some of us love computers and data entry systems, those with that personality trait would enjoy using one of the multiple of pre-designed money software programs.
Still there is another category, those that run as far away from money matters as possible. If this is you, then consider hiring someone to do the work for you. The cash you pay out may actually save you money down the road if you tend to avoid money issues. Typically money problems that are avoided only grow proportionately worse over time.
Essentially, there are multiple different personality types and an equal number of money management systems. Once you have taken some time to self reflect on your behavior patterns, translate that into a money system. If you are at a loss on how to do that, ask people you know who seem similar to you. How do they manage their money?
